Watch Need for Speed: The Run in action

Have you ever wondered how fascinating the English language is. Just add an 's' at the end of Need for Speed: The Run title, and you've hit a goldmine for comedy. Anyhow, we've got new gameplay footage of the new Need for Speed running for the hills, literally. This gameplay trailer sees you racing across a very realistic brown-grey desert setting. The Run is running on the super stellar Frostbite engine, and looks just plain fantastic. A zillion times better than its predecessors with some incredible lens-flaring towards the middle, even the car models look crisp and clear. The Run in the title is sort of parallel to Cannonball Run, which was a movie way back about a cross-country race against time, which is much of what this title is about. Its good to see EA drifting away from the done to death Fast and Furious street underground racing scene. Check out for yourself how gorgeous this game looks.
