FULL REVIEW

Ever since the Infinity Blade first came out for the iPhone and iPad, the world was mesmerised with full fledged console-like graphics on iDevices. The game is full of action, and requires the true swiper in you to defeat all your opponents. Till date, Infinity Blade is one of the best sellers in the App Store, but the developers have said a no to an Android version due to piracy issues. But are Android fans really to miss out on such great fun? Not really!

Blood and Glory, a great alternative for Infinity Blade on Android, from Glu Mobile brings a very similar swipe and slash style action game onto the Android Market. It also has some neat graphics, and consists of an in-app store, for upgrading your gladiator with more powerful swords, helmets, or shields.

Unlike the story mode of Infinity Blade, Blood and Glory features a Tournament mode, where you get different opponents. You can also buy Attack, Health, and Defence Potions from the coins earned to increase your chances of victory. Once you have gotten at a certain level of Combo, you can also use a special attack on the opponent, followed by another round of slashes!

We found Blood and Glory to be a little laggy at times, and often wouldn't respond to swipes. This could be because the game is a bit heavy for the Android system to bear, or just due to some bugs. But, against all those very minute odds, Blood and Glory emerges as a winner in our opinion, first because it is a complete Infinity Blade rip-off (Yes, we said that!), and second, because it's available for free in the Market.

What else would you want? Such a great game, whose sophisticated brother costs $6 in the iPhone App Store, free in the Android Market! We suggest you rush over to the Market, and get yourself this game. One of the best we found for Android. Seriously.

P.S. If you are unable to find it in the Android Market, this app most probably does not support your device, due to low screen resolution, GPU, or processor.
