Acer’s Aspire One netbooks get revamped inside and out
Acer’s Aspire One series of netbooks have a successor in Aspire One Happy Two with bright color scheme and buffed up computing power. These netbooks are available in four color schemes named after tropical fruits and a water droplet motif. The central processor of these netbooks have been upgraded to Intel’s dual-core Atom N750 CPU and storage options have been extended with a 350GB hard-drive and a multi-card reader.
The netbooks display is a 16:9 aspect ratio WSVGA 10.1-inch LED-backlit LCD and primary memory capacity is one gigabyte. The Aspire One Happy Two netbooks ship with dual-OS option between Microsoft’s Windows 7 Starter Edition and Google’s Android. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 3.0+HS, Wi-Fi and Ethernet. For the sake of video chat, these netbooks are equipped with Acer’s Crystal Eye webcam and a built-in microphone. The netbook’s touch-pad supports multi-touch gestures to scroll documents, rotate images and zoom. It’s thickness measures in at 24mm and it weighs about 1.25 kilograms with battery-life of eight hours. The Aspire One Happy Two netbooks are retailing for Rs. 15, 749 plus taxes.
