Internet proved to be quite a boon for fans of comic book, being able to access vast collection of comic in digital form. For a long time, this practice was confined to fans exchanging and sharing books amongst them. With the advent of powerful mobile phones and tablet PC, comic book publishers have joined the fray and are now offering subscription services through their apps.
Marvel Comics, DC Comics
The two big houses of comic book publication offer their comics via mobile app for Android and iOS, and similar service is also made available directly through a web browser. While the apps are free, access to certain issues is restricted to paying customer and some are available for free viewing after login in to the service.
