Maryfi is a free utility developed for Windows 7 that creates a virtual router on the computer it is installed on. This allows the user to share an internet connection over Wi-Fi, or in other terms, it turns a computer into a Wi-Fi hotspot. Microsoft reveals details of Windows Store design
Microsoft has posted a fairly detailed walkthrough of the Windows Store user experience on the MSDN blog. Considering the nature of the blog, the information revealed is more focused towards individual developers or app vendors. The post details the structure of the forthcoming Windows Store, and how the user will be exposed to new and popular apps. FreeMind is open-source mind map creation software written in Java and distributed under GNU GPL V2+ license. Mind maps are typically used to jot down ideas and tasks or to track projects in a non-linear fashion. Apple release iBooks Author as free download
Apple has released e-book authoring software called iBooks Author to create interactive books with multi-touch support. There have been talks about Apple making a big push in the education sector, and this may just be the beginning of it.
