Alongside the release of an OS update and a new display based on their Thunderbolt technology, Apple has upgraded the specs for Mac mini. Part of this upgrade carries or makes provision for the other two releases. This new model of Mac mini sports a Thunderbolt port and is factory-installed with OS X Lion. Choice in central processors now includes dual-core Intel Core i5 processor for workstations and quad-core Intel Core i7 for the server variety of Mac mini. Graphical processing of Mac mini also got a bump with AMD’s Radeon HD 6630M graphics card now being a standard feature. These devices ship without a DVD drive, so all optical disc access will have to be carried out over a local network using its built-in Wi-Fi transceiver. Continue Reading »

Apples has release a 27-inch, LED-backlit display based on its very own Thunderbolt technology. This display uses a TFT IPS panel, which gives it a wide viewing angle of 178 degrees and native resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. The panel’s contrast ratio is 1000:1 and has a response time of 12ms. It has a built-in (FaceTime HD) webcam, a microphone and a 2.1 configuration speaker system. Continue Reading »
