New series of LED printers and MFDs from Epson

Epson released a series of printers and multifunctional devices (MFD) based on LED technology, something that seems poised to succeed lasers. According to the company, the LED technology has led to devices that have lower power consumption, higher printing speeds and sharper black (text) reproduction.

 

Epson AcuLaser CX17NF

 

The Epson AcuLaser C1700 is a single-function printer, while the AcuLaser CX17NF is a multifunctional device with fax and networking. The Epson AcuLaser M1400 and AcuLaser MX14 is a monochromatic printer and MFD respectively. The printer in both the monochromatic and colour categories have 64MB buffer, while the multifunctional devices have 128MB of buffer.
