Epson's photo-printers for epic 44-inch blowouts

Epson has released a couple of photo-printers that are clearly aimed at professionals or the overly enthusiastic. The Epson Stylus Pro 7890 can deliver a 24-inch photo-print, while the Epson Stylus Pro 9890 can go all the way up to 44 inches. Both these printers are equipped with Epson’s Micro Piezo print head, which the company claims has doubled the print throughput of their machines.

These heads are capable of handling eight color channels of the printer’s ‘UltraChrome K3’ eight color ink set. The print resolution ranges of these two models ranges between 360 dpi and 1440dpi. Additionally, these machines can be retrofitted with ‘Epson Spectroproofer’ for some industry grade color calibration. The Epson Stylus Pro 7890 is currently going for Rs. 1,99,999 and the Epson Stylus Pro 9890 is on sale for Rs.3,29,999.
