We know plenty of folks from the indie school who're making their own shows and uploading them online, their favourite tool happens to be the Flip, which can record in upload-friendly formats to YouTube. Launched today, the FlipMinoHD and UltraHD record 720p videos in standard MP4 format, and the latest editions have image stabilisation capabilities and an HDMI port to view videos on HD televisions.

The Flip MinoHD, priced at Rs. 12,499 has a two inch screen, can capture up to two hours of video, and has 8GB of built-in memory and a built-in rechargeable Li-Ion battery. The Flip UltraHD, priced at Rs. 9,999 also has a 2-inch screen, and can do one hour of recording on its 4GB built-in memory. The main difference between the two models is that the UltraHD is powered by AA batteries.
Both the Flip cams have no no memory card extension, as far as accessories are concerned, HDMI cables and tripods need to be purchased separately. The video cameras will also be available to consumers across India from ZoomIn.com.
