Download of the Week: Six3.tv

Six3.tv is a free messaging application dedicated to sending and receiving video messages over the web. The service available through this application is meant for short video messages as the length of one message is restricted to 63 seconds. In order to start sending video messages, one simply needs to create an account on the Six3.tv website  and use its web-based application to compose, manage and send messages. The recipient(s) of a message receive a link to the video in their e-mail inbox and they can view the message without signing up for the service.

The ability to view video messages is only restricted by the device’s capability to connect to the web and playback embedded videos. Sending of messages on a Mac or Windows based PC or tablet is done via the Six3.tv website; whereas app based service for mobile phones is currently restricted to iPhone 3G, 4 and 4S. The developers are working on extending this service to the iPad 1 and other mobile platforms like Android, Blackberry and WP7. The Six3.tv service is currently available across the globe, unless a country has restrictions in place to block such services.
