Intel sets up app marketplace called Intel AppUp

Intel has launched a netbook applications marketplace to compliment the proliferation of dual-core Atom based devices, like the ones recently launched by ASUS. Dubbed Intel AppUp, the online marketplace hosts applications for entertainment, social networking, gaming and productivity and these are optimized to work within a netbook or netbook-like environment.  

In related news specific to India, Croma has joined the effort by introducing Croma Apps for Intel AppUp which will be pre-installed on all Croma branded netbooks sold by the retailer.
