HP Pavilion dm1: First AMD Fusion netbook yields 10 hours battery life
Is it a netbook, or a notebook? We reckon anything that's smaller than 13-inches is a netbook. Or an ultraportable if that's what you want to call it. The game-changer in the dm1 is AMD's long awaited Fusion chip - dual-core E-350 APU, which integrates DirectX 11-capable Radeon HD 6310M graphics on the die.

Weighing around 1.6 kgs, the dm1 is not looking to shabby next to the Macbook Air, especially with claims of about 9-10 hours of battery life. With a starting at $450 and upwards, the Pavilion dm1 has a 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 display, 3 GB of RAM, 320GB hard-drive, HDMI out and can play Full HD video. Engadget has a pile of pics and a specs sheet for anyone who's interested. We'll try and update you when it hits Indian shores.
