Adobe adds Photoshop Elements to Mac App Store

By Swapnil Kale RSS Swapnil Kale posted Jul 21st 2011 at 9:20AM | Filed under: PC & Laptop » Mac

Well, Adobe and Apple have had their arguments, Steve Jobs went real harsh on Flash on iOS, and then Adobe released the native version of their creative suite for Windows, and not for Mac.

Despite, the differences Adobe has now entered the Mac App Store with a version of their Photoshop Elements software. The Mac App Store now was Photoshop Elements 9 Editor up for purchase, it is a lighter version of the actual Photoshop Elements 9 which is available for purchase at $99. Sadly, the less functional version which is up on the Mac App Store is priced at $79.99.

The feature which is missing is the 'Elements Organizer' which is like a photo organizer and Adobe details that this requirement can be fulfilled by iPhoto, however, it will allow users to access its photo editing tools which do not come with iPhoto. Well, lets hope that the Mac gets all the new Adobe programs directly through the Mac App Store.
