18-inch ASUS LED monitor for just over 5K

The ASUS VS197D monitor offers an opportunity for those still using CFL backlit displays to get on the LED backlit bandwagon. The modestly priced 18 incher has a native resolution of 1366x768 pixels, dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000,000:1 and 5ms response rate.

 

ASUS has designed the VS197D to work well as a secondary display and as such has support for both 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios. Furthermore, this monitor uses the company’s proprietary Splendid Video Intelligence Technology to dynamically adjust color, brightness, contrast, and sharpness. It also uses SmartView Technology to make adjustments to image output based on the users viewing angle. The monitor ships with a table stand, but it is also VESA standard complaint for wall mounting.  The ASUS VS197D is on sale Rs.5,000, plus taxes and it is backed by a 3-year warranty.
