Creative’s new music players: ZEN Style and ZEN X-Fi Style

Creative will introduced two new media players in the Indian market as part of its Zen Style series. 

ZEN X-Fi Style comes with Creative’s ‘Crystalizer’ processor that claims to upscale quality of audio files that have lost fidelity during conversion and/or compression by enhancing  low and high frequency sounds. This player supports P3, WMA (DRM9), WAV (IMA-ADPCM) Audible4, AAC4 and FLAC 4 audio formats. Other aural entertainment option comes in the form of a built-in FM radio. For video playback, the player supports WMV9, MPEG4-SP3, XviD file formats, along with limited support for DivX files. Videos are displayed on 2.4” 262k Color TFT LCD screen with maximum supported resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. ZEN X-Fi Style has 8GB, 16GB and 32GB models with black, white and red color options for the 8GB and 16GB model and black and white color options for the 32GB model

The Creative Zen Style players will be available in two variants—the Zen Style 300 and Zen Style 100. These players support MP3, WMA (DRM9), WAV (IMA-ADPCM) and Audible 4 audio formats; whereas the video files need to be converted using bundled software. Both the Zen Style 300 and Zen Style 100 come with a 1.8-inch TFT screen for display and storage capacity variants of 4GB, 8GB and 16GB. In fact, the only difference between these two models is that Zen Style 300 comes with built-in speakers and ships only in black color, while the Zen Style 100 has no such provision, but has multiple color options.

The Creative ZEN X-Fi Style will be available for approximately Rs. 6999 (8GB), and Rs. 8999 (16GB). The Creative ZEN Style 300 is expected to retail at Rs. 4199 (4GB), and Rs. 5499(16GB).
