Airtel, Idea and Vodafone team-up to provide 3G services
Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular and Vodafone, there big telecom operators in India have now come together and decided to share their networks. The deal will include inter-cirle and intra-circle roaming arrangements to deliver seamless 3G experience for their customers.
Airtel has 3G licenses in 13 circles which includes Mumbai and Delhi, Idea has licenses in 11 circles while Vodafone has licenses in 9 circles. Obviously, the idea behind this is that none of the operators cover the entire nation, hence they will be using each other's network for seamless connectivity.

Vodafone said in statement;
“Vodafone has entered into a bilateral roaming agreement, both inter and intra circle, with Idea and Airtel to provide 3G services to our customers in the circles where we have not built our own 3G network, to bring a pan-India experience of 3G services to our customers.”
Idea has entered into and intra-circle roaming arrangement with Vodafone to bring 3G services in Delhi and Kolkata, while Airtel will be partnering with Idea in order to provide 3G services in Karnataka, Mysore and Bangalore. Vodafone has already started 3G service in Andhra Pradesh and Kerla by teaming up with Idea, while its 3G service would make its way to Uttar Pradesh (West) with the help of Airtel. Airtel, will enter in Gujarat with the intra-circle roaming agreement with Idea.
None of the operators have revealed the revenue sharing arrangements, amongst each other.
