ViewSonic ViewPad 7e coming soon to India

ViewSonic has announced that it is close to bring its Android-based Viewpad 7e to India, but they are not yet ready to commit to a certain date. When it does hit the market, it will be priced at Rs.13,000, which would be a fair price considering its relatively modest specs.

 

The Viewpad 7e is powered by a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor with 512MB physical memory of DDR2 variety. The display for this tablet is a 7-inch TFT- LCD touch screen with 4:3 aspect ratio resolution (800x600) and 500:1 contrast ratio. For storage, the tablet has built-in flash memory of 4GB and SD expandability can scale to a maximum of 32GB. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), 3.5mm audio jack, Micro HDMI D type, micro-USB connector and Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR. For the shutterbugs the options are rather limited to a 0.3MP front-facing camera and a 3MP rear camera. All this hardware is orchestrated by Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
