Notion Ink Adam: Getting Honeycomb by next month?

We haven't been hearing much from Bangalore based Notion Ink lately, but their most recent update might kindle renewed interest in the tablet. CEO Rohan Shravan says in his latest post that the tablet will ship to Indian users with all duties pre-paid. What's more encouraging to hear is that it may get Honeycomb as early as next month.

 

We'll be more than happy to relay that bit of info when it does, whether that actually happens is subject to Google's own shaky policies on who gets first dibs. So is Adam really getting Honeycomb support? That depends: "While Google gets to choose who they support officially, there is little we can do." laments the CEO, before making an appeal to the hacker community to perhaps bring an unofficial port. In a week that saw the launch of Duke Nukem Forever and the iPhone 4 in India, we feel that anything, including Honeycomb on Adam is possible.
