HTC Tablet to run Chrome OS, likely to ship in November

An HTC tablet running Chromse OS, expected to be launched by Verizon on Black Friday -- these are the rumours doing the rounds.
The tablet is expected to be heavily subsidized by Verizon and is meant to compete against the Apple iPad.
It will be interesting to see the benefit of Chrome OS on a tablet form factor when there is Android for the same; especially on how the Android Market is handled. The rumored specifications of the tablet include a 1280x 720 multi-touch display, 2GB of RAM, and a minimum of 32GB of storage. Incidentally, Samsung is also expected to show a new Android 2.2 Tablet at a consumer electronics show in Berlin early in September.
