Olive Telecom brings Android based Olive Fluid V-W1
Olive Telecom has launched yet another Android-based smartphone in India - this one is the Olive Fluid V-W1, which runs Android 2.1 Éclair, and is powered by a 468 MHz processor. Apparently, the company is yet to launch its Gingerbread based OliveSmart V-S300 in the market which was announced back in February, and was expected last month.

Anyways, the Olive Fluid V-W1 has 256 MB of RAM and the same amount of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. It has a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels and a 3 megapixel camera. With a 468 Mhz processor, it may figure lowest on Quadrant Standard benchmarks, but perhaps compensate by having decent battery life. The specs are fairly entry-level, yet the phone is absurdly priced at Rs. 10,990. Also, it runs Android 2.1 which is now getting a bit obsolete, even in India.
As you may have already figured it does not seems like a wise choice. However, if the comany gets the price down to around Rs. 6,500 we may give it some consideration.
