Motorola Milestone XT720 now available in India
Announced in Europe last month, the MILESTONE XT720 is now available in retail channels in India for Rs 30,000. An employee at Axis Telecom in Bangalore has tweeted details on price and availability, we just confirmed on phone that this the unit is available through official channels. Specs wise, the XT720 is similar to the Milestone or Droid, with the same 3.7 inch WVGA screen, it’s a keyboard-less version that is slightly slimmer, and is based on the Motorola Motoroi launched in Korea earlier this year. The Milestone XT720 is an Android 2.1 smartphone powered by an ARM Cortex A8 600 MHz processor, it has better video and photo capabilities when compared to the Motorola Milestone, but a distant second to Motorola's current flagship phone in the US, the Droid X.

The big improvement over the Milestone available in India is that the XT720 is capable of recording and playback of HD video at 720p. Key features include: face detection, multi-shot (six shots in a row), face filter, and red eye reduction. The phone has HDMI connectivity, media captured on the phone can be displayed directly on an HDTV. Motorola also provides an HDMI cable in the box, and a 8GB microSD card.
