Motorola Milestone XT720 and Backflip Launched in India

 

Motorola, Inc. today launched two new Android 2.1 powered  smart-phones in India Milestone XT720, one of the world’s slimmest 8 Mega-pixel and Backflip with the world’s first reverse-flip design handset.

Milestone XT720

Milestone XT720 at a slender 10.9mm with a capacitive touch screen with a high definition (HD) video experience, enhanced media and mobile Internet capabilities. The phone features an amazing 8 mega-pixel camera with Xenon flash, 10x digital zoom, and a high resolution 720p HD camcorder. HDMI cable allows HD video captured on the Milestone XT720  to be viewed directly on an HD TV; Share media over WiFi and between, HD TV, laptop and phone.Memory card support: 8GB microSD card expandable up to 32GB. Milestone XT720 is going with an MRP (Maximum Retail Price) of Rs 34,990 and a recommended retail Price of Rs 27,490.

 

 

Backflip

Backflip equipped with a unique reverse-flip design also features a friction hinge that allows the QWERTY keyboard to flip underneath for working in tabletop mode. The phone has 3.1 inch HVGA screen with a  Backtrack feature that is a touch panel located on the other side of the device, offering a new way to scroll. The 5-megapixel camera comes with auto-focus LED flash of the Backflip.  Memory expandable up to 32GB. There are no details available on the processor that are being used by these phones.  The phone priced at a MRP of Rs 22,990, with a recommended retail price of Rs 19,490.

Both these phones, Milestone XT720 and Backflip come preloaded with free access to fully voice-guided street-level navigable MapmyIndia maps of 401 cities in India. The new application by motorola called MOTONAV application is made especially for this feature of the phones.  The phones are making most of the GPS feature and Motorola is using the same as a key feature in the phone. A feature to be tried and test during the hands-on.
