LG's Optimus 3D Max with updated hardware for 3D editing

LG has unveiled the Optimus 3D Max, which will succeed its current offering of smartphone with 3D capture capability. As with most hardware iterations in its category, the Optimus 3D Max is slimmer and faster than the Optimus 3D. The hardware revision brings the thickness of the phone down to 9.6mm, while increasing the processing power by incorporating a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU.
The 4.4-inch, glass-free screen will allow direct editing of 3D images and videos, which the company claims is the world’s first smartphone to do so. The capturing of images is achieved through a pair of 5MP camera on the back of the phone. Apparently, LG is waiting for the MWC to reveal complete specs, release date and price of the phones. For now, we know that the phone will have an NFC radio, and just like the recently announced LG Vu, it will ship with Android 2.3 with ICS update to follow after the release.
