LG announces Ice Cream Sandwich update schedule

 

While most of the big Android smartphone manufacturers have revealed their plans on Android 4.0 ICS update, LG recently announced their plans via Facebook. The company has confirmed that a number of phones would be receiving the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update including the Optimus 2X, Optimus 3D, Optimus LTE (US) and the Optimus Black.

LG further said that they are evaluating the update for other smartphones, so it is possible that the update may reach other LG Android smartphones. However the four phones mentioned above are confirmed. The company would reveal more information in December, including the update timeline and a list of all the smartphones to receive the new update.
