CES 2012: Sony Xperia Ion announced with 12 megapixel camera and 4.6-inch HD display

Apart from the Xperia S, Sony had yet another device which the company announced at CES 2012. It was the Sony Xperia Ion, which is Sony’s first LTE smartphone.

The Sony Xperia Ion has a 4.6-inch HD display, 12 megapixel camera with 1080p video recording, 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, HDMI port. It presently runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is upgradable to Android 4.0 ICS. This is a PlayStation certified smartphone which also includes media sharing options such as DLNA, HDMI and BRAVIA Sync. The device is yet to be announced for non-US markets, and will possibly make an appearance at MWC 2012.
