Acer’s third Android phone makes several improvements over the Acer Liquid, and the Liquid E, an upcoming phone that is identical to the former in every aspect except for the OS - Liquid E is essentially the Liquid + Android OS v2.1 (Eclair), which leads us to believe that Acer Liquid owners won’t get the 2.1 update. Acer Stream, announced this week has really high end specs, and is worthy of being on this list of top Android phones worth waiting for, it's comparable to the Nexus One in every aspect except the OS:

Screen: a 3.7 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, capable of 480 x 800 pixels
RAM: 512MB RAM, 512MB ROM, 2GB storage, microSD, up to 32GB, 8GB card included
CPU: Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 1 GHz processor
Camera: 5 MP, 2560?1920 pixels, autofocus, face and smile detection, geotagging, Wireless connectivity: HSDPA, 7.2 Mbps; HSUPA, 2.0 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA & UPnP technology, A-GPS, Stereo FM radio with RDS,
OS: Android OS, v2.1 (Eclair), upgradable The firmware we will be upgradable from the existing 2.1 Eclair version. The Acer Stream adds 2GB of internal storage, and excels at is video recording, it can do 720p@24fps. It also has a Micro HDMI port, and better video codec support for WMV, Xvid in addition to the usual MP4 and H.264, and provides Dolby Mobile sound enhancement. Acer has also added a few of its own customisations, a 3D interface and that lets you “unlock the phone by a ‘peeling’ gesture”, three types of predictive keyboards, a smart dialer and a redesigned contacts list there’s a video demo of the Acer Stream if you’re interested and a full press release at Androidcommunity:
