DigiTimes, chronicler of the Taiwanese and Chinese electronics manufacturing industry, has reported hearsay on the next big leap in Android development. According to these rumors, the next version of Android has been labeled Jelly Bean and it will integrate Chrome system functions. In addition, the report claims that Google has developed Jelly Beans with an aim to bring it to the laptop and netbook markets. Another feature this Android version is that it will allow manufacturers to ship devices, like tablets, with dual-OS options. In this configuration, the device will be able to switch between Android 5 and Windows 8 without the need reboot. The report further states that Jelly Bean Android is scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2012.

As expected, the publication has cited undisclosed manufacturers as the source of this information.
