Nokia expected to launch Asha series in December
According to a report published by the Indian counterpart of BGR website, Nokia’s Asha series of feature phones are scheduled for release by the middle of December. The Asha series was unveiled by Nokia around the same time they announced their plans for WP7 based smartphones. Looking at the specs, features and price of these phones, it is quite evident that they have been designed to take that spot in between a feature phone and a smartphone.

The Nokia Asha 200 with its 2.4-inch display, QWERTY keypad, 3.5 mm audio jack, a 2.0MP camera and connectivity features such as Bluetooth, EDGE and GPRS will be selling for Rs 4, 759. The Nokia Asha 300 is priced at Rs 7,409 due to the 5.0MP camera, USB on-the-go and 3G connectivity features. Lastly, the Asha X2-02 will be released globally with a price-tag of Rs. 4,163. All three models are expected to ship with a three month subscription of the Music Unlimited service, which allows download of songs from Nokia’s Music Store.
