Lephone’s triple-SIM mobile phone available in India

By Faiyaz Shaikh RSS Faiyaz Shaikh posted Aug 31st 2010 at 5:52PM | Filed under: Mobile » Mobile Phone

In a ludicrous display of one-upmanship, Lephone has launched a phone that supports three SIM cards simultaneously. This relatively obscure cell-phone manufacturer has apparently deemed that an additional slot for a SIM card would be enough to set itself apart from the competition. The competition in discussion here are other fringe players like Wynncom and Oscar who have recently launched dual-SIM phones.

Apart from the ability to lead three different lives, the Lephone A10 has nothing else to offer in terms of innovation. The usage of three SIM cards itself is limited to two GSM and one CDMA cards. The phone comes with a 3MP camera, a modest 2.2” screen and connectivity through Bluetooth, GPRS, WAP and USB. To kill time it has an MP3 player, FM receiver, video recorder and stereo speakers.
