Intex Launches 3 (Yes, Triple) SIM Phone

SIM" if Intex were to be the main sponsor! The New Delhi based hardware maker today announced the launch of the Intex 5030 which is clearly targeted at road warriors, who can't wait any longer for mobile number portability.  It comes with two batteries (one to recharge externally while using the one in the phone), and claims 3.5 hours of talktime and 270 hours of standby time. The three SIM cards it can hold have to be 2 GSM + 1 CDMA though according to the press release, "While receiving /making a call on one of the GSM connections, the CDMA connection remains active (and vice versa), hence the user could easily make a shift between the two numbers." The Intex 5030 is priced at an MOP of Rs. 4,700. (Note MOP is market operative price which is usually MRP minus some fixed discount that the manufacturer expects most retailers to pass on to customers.)
