Kindle for Android, Am I excited? [Review]
Kindle is a famous and popular book reader in the west, while a software version exists on a wide variety of platforms. Kindle uses the vast library of Amazon for e-books with Audio-Video support, and has recently come to Android market. But I am not that excited about it - while it scores points for being an absolutely user-friendly book reader, there are other freeware alternatives that have raised the standards which Kindle just cannot match. A walk-through to the Kindle for Android: Disappointment from the very download; many features aren't available in India.
To access Kindle; the pre-requisite is to make an Amazon id. Also, a credit card is necessary if you wish to buy any book. There is a registration procedure for the credit card which needs to be completed from the Amazon website. The Menu is pretty simple and self-explanatory. The Kindle Store is where the books are waiting.

Just follow these instructions to complete the procedure by logging in through a computer. Or you will keep getting a error message like this every-time to buy though 1-Click.

I downloaded two preview books but with utter dis-appointment again! I downloaded a sample.

I was a little excited to hear something about Paris with the services that Kindle offers, I accessed it to read the following! No Audio support for HTC Hero. If your Android device does support Kindle let us know here.

The Book reader itself was not impressive after using Aldiko for so long I am used to some features that it offers. Nevertheless, if you have never tried any other book reader kindle it is a good way to read. The following are the options available for reading.

The reading options are very basic font size, brightness and mode of reading. Nothing that will make you go... Wow! - not once did any feature intrigue me.

The huge library that Amazon.com offers with Kindle! Nearly 4, 00, 000 paid and free e-books, but I am not a fan; yet! Maybe if the software improves maybe I will re-visit the application.

These are the archived books and I will leave it here till further improvements.

You can download Kindle for Android from the Market; but Aldiko remains my favorite Android book reader!
