Sprinkle: Is this the Angry Birds killer?

If you're looking out for a game that's as addictive as Angry Birds, Sprinkle, available on Android and iTunes for both smartphones and tablets might be that breakaway hit that will keep you hooked. Developed by Mediocre AB, this water-physics puzzler has all the makings of a crowd favourite.
Each level in Sprinkle tests your grasp of ballistics and water-physics. Instead of hurling birds using a catapult, you're expected to accurately direct the firehose mounted on a water cannon during a firefight.

As you get deeper into the game, the levels get more challenging as you'll have to distribute and direct limited water supplies and maximise splash damage, cool off smouldering boulders and use the game environment to channel water at the right speed, angle and volume. The gameplay is simple to understand, yet mind boggling as you get into later levels. It makes all the cutesy and encouraging sounds that you'd expect from an addictive puzzler that keeps you up all night.

The water physics is pleasing to the eye but graphically demanding. On Android, it is playable on Tegra powered Android 2.3 devices(or greater), and should work on all iOS devices from the last two years. Hopefully, a 'lite' version of the addictive puzzler will trickle down to modestly specced handhelds in the future. If you've got a dollar to spend, do check it out.
