Skype for WP7 coming soon
During an interview at this year’s CES, Skype's VP of products indicated that a Skype application for Windows Phone may be nearing release. Microsoft acquired Skype in October last year, and since then they have been largely tight-lipped about their plans about the video calling service.

It appears that Microsoft will initially offer Skype service via an application that can be downloaded from the company’s online application store. Following this, Skype may be more deeply integrated into the Windows Phone operating system as part of a major OS update, with Windows Phone Apollo looking to be the most likely candidate for this. While Microsoft has still not set a solid release roadmap for Skype integration, they are promising that the service will eventually be available on Windows 8 and the Xbox 360.
