Real Player for Android Phones [Review]
I have always been a fan of Real Player and I was more than happy when I saw it in Android Market. Its a free application and well packs a punch in terms of multimedia playback. Readers should be aware that the only reason I review free Android apps is because Google hasn't got a billing mechanism for the Android Market in India. Real Player is as usual well built, I like the way it feels, it operates smoothly and looks elegant. Why do I like it over the default players? For one, it gives me additional functions options to download a video to your SD card, apart from basic playback.
Real Music Player: I loved it; the default Android player lacks so many features. This player lists tracks by Genres, Ratings, Most Played and most importantly Recently Added. The home button works like a charm; it feels like the home button on the iPhone.

Video Mode: I do not prefer using my phone for watching videos. Except when going on a long drive then I use my phone as a in-car screen for movies by plugging it into my car speakers.

Photo Gallery allows to play music with the tab on the left and have a slide-show going on with the tab on the right!

The interface doesn't allow multi-touch but has quite a capable zoom feature.

Some would argue that these functions are handled by the Android OS itself, and it makes no sense to install another application to do the same. I have been unable to sync it with the PC, as the desktop version of Real Player only supports HTC Incredible. Hopefully this will be cleared in future updates.
