MWC: SlideIT Takes A Swipe At Swype

Remember Varun raving about his shiny new Nexus One on the show, a few weeks ago? Well, a large part of that was because he was finally able to use a touchscreen keyboard thanks to the Swype app for Android. So when we saw an Israeli app developer Dasur, showing off something similar at MWC 2010, we asked the creator Nissim, how his patented product was different. His answer: "Its better!" On a serious note, SlideIT claims to have superior word prediction, work on more platforms (symbian, windows, android supported; iphone version about to launch), and offer a free one-month trial. Well, considering that Swype just raised more money, Nissim should be hard selling those claims to the VCs.
