App of the Week: Zombie Life

Zombie shooters are widely popular games that by their sheer numbers have carved out a genre for themselves. Zombie Life however is not such a game, it simply capitalizes the popularity of the Zombie theme among games. This game can best be described as a life-simulator, wherein the protagonist is a “newly risen Zombie in an unfamiliar town”. The primary objective of the player is to Zombie to do exactly the same things it did before being struck with un-death. Players get to dress up the Zombie, customize its looks, find a job, decorate the house and generally hang-out. No rest for the wicked, I suppose.

 

 

Zombie Life is available as a free download for iOS, but in-game items have to be purchased using real-life money. The free game raced to the top of the charts in many countries less than a week after its release, and has received 19,500 ratings averaging at 4.5 stars on iTunes. Surely worth a look to see what the fuss is all about.
