Twitter bug lets you force anyone to follow you

It must have been very amusing while it lasted, a Turkish site first reported an accidental discovery by a fan of the Turkish heavy metal band Accept, which allowed any user to force any other Twitter account to follow with a simple tweet. Gizmodo tested the bug out, and was able to add Oprah Winfrey and Conan O Brien, to follow their Twitter account!. Once they published it on their website, readers tried it out.. and Conan's account showed him temporarily following 194 users.

How? A simple tweet “accept [Twitter Username]” was enough!

Twitter has acknowledged the bug, and has reset follower counts to zero for now.
