PlayStation Network launched stealthily in India

By Avinash Bali RSS Avinash Bali posted Sep 10th 2010 at 11:22AM | Filed under: Gaming » PS3

In what can perhaps be described as the most low key launch ever, Sony have finally launched the PlayStation Network in India. Logging on with your Indian PSN ID will give you access to the Indian store where a bunch of stuff like subscriptions, premium themes and arcade games are up for grabs, with the price all denoted in Rupees.

Unfortunately it turns out that this is just the testing phase so while you can browse the store to your heart’s content, you can’t really purchase anything using your Credit Card as Sony are still finalizing certain payment issues. We’re told that these issues should be ironed out real soon and that the full-fledged public launch is right around the corner.
