Mortal Kombat nostalgia continues: MK Arcade Kollection coming later this summer

By Faiyaz Shaikh RSS Faiyaz Shaikh posted May 16th 2011 at 5:19PM | Filed under: Gaming » Gaming

Following up on a satisfactory return to form with the release of Mortal Kombat earlier in April, NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. are striking while the iron is still hot. Sometime later this season, the original Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II and Ultimate Mortal Kombat are coming to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and even PC.

All three games will be available in a single package called Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection that will be priced quite appropriately at $10 (500 MS Points). Warner has commissioned Other Ocean studio to work on porting the titles, with NetherRealm Studio is working with them in the capacity of creative consultant. While this particular release seems to be close, Warner has not committed to a specific date—maybe they are waiting for a certain someone to get their network back online.
