Dead Rising 2 banned in the UAE

As much as I love Dubai, I have to admit being a gamer over there totally sucks ass as most of the good games end up getting banned either due to their violent content and/or nudity. In the past few months games like God of War III, Heavy Rain, Mafia II and many more have been denied an official release date due to content, adult locals are apparently not capable of handling. And now joining that unfortunate bandwagon is Dead Rising 2 presumably because of its gratuitous violence, alcohol consumption and partial nudity. And since the UAE isn’t a huge market for most gaming companies, chances of a watered down or censored version are very slim.

This obviously has not gone down too well with local gamers who are now looking at other sources for obtaining the game.
