Microsoft Announce Record Earnings

In spite of analysts downgrading their stock, Microsoft has recorded it's highest revenue to date in a quarter of $16.41 billion. In addition to this they've turned a profit of $5.41 billion. With strong sales of Office 2010, Windows 7 and the Xbox 360 almost all their divisions have shown significant growth across the board barring their online services division that's made a loss of $560 million but given how strongly they've performed across the board it seems like a drop in the ocean.
“This was an exceptional quarter, combining solid enterprise growth and continued strong consumer demand for Office 2010, Windows 7, and Xbox 360 consoles and games,” said Peter Klein, chief financial officer at Microsoft. “Our ability to grow revenue while continuing to control costs allowed us to deliver another quarter of year-over-year margin expansion.”
