Samsung Galaxy S sells one million units in 45 days

Through a press release from their American outfit, Samsung has claimed to have sold one million units of Galaxy S since its launch on July 15. The sales numbers may pale in comparison to what Apple’s iPhone had achieved in its early days with just one carrier. However, Samsung is currently tied up with American mobile carriers AT&T and T-Mobile, and this list will include Sprint and Verizon by the end of this month. This strategy by Samsung to tie-up with multiple service providers, coupled with Galaxy S’s impressive hardware and Google’s Android, may eventually upset Apple’s current domination of high-end cell phone market.
