Sony Xperia X8 and X10 upgrade rolling out, Xperia upgrades to 2.1

Sony Xperia users had to wait a lot to get the update that was rolled out by most manufacturers weeks ago. Even so, it is better to keep the excitement to the minimum. It seems that the Sony Xperia X8 roll-out is rather a phased one. According to pocketnow.com, " the update has reportedly hit phones with the following customization codes: - 1242-7327 and - 1241-409."
The simplest way to check if the update is available is by using the path: Setting> About Phone> Software Update. If you are not one of the lucky ones, then you would be greeted with the following message.
To check you're customization code:
1. Lock the screen of your phone.
2. Press the menu button (on the left; this will light the screen, but the phone will still be locked)
3. Press the home (the button in the middle) and back (the button on the right) in following sequence: home-back-back-home-back-home-home-back (via)
