3 Android Super-Phones

By Aditya Kshirsagar RSS Aditya Kshirsagar posted Jun 19th 2010 at 9:14PM | Filed under: Mobile » Smartphone

Big screen, smooth interface, appealing design, running atop the Android OS and a mighty processor; the Android Super-Phones are here! I call this group of cell-phones the ‘Mighty Phones’ though the list will be revised with new developments which are hard to keep up with now but I am not complaining. These monsters are out there and we are hoping they will soon be in India...

HTC Evo 4G

\"\"
A lot has been said and been compared of the HTC Evo4G and yes it’s the head-on competitor of iPhone4G. Some, Android lovers even go to the extent of saying it is way better and cannot be compared to the iPhone 4G. Arguable point, but the Evo4G is a monster of a phone with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with dual cameras – an 8.0 mega pixel auto-focus camera with HD-capable video camcorder and a forward-facing 1.3 mega pixel camera. The new features that the Evo4G with Android 2.1 are something to look forward to in the Indian market.

Motorola Droid X

\"\"
A sleek body and a tempting luscious functionality though looks similar to the Evo 4G; this is one phone that I am waiting to get my hands on.  I am looking forward to the much hyped Motorola Blur also known as Ninja Blur with the improvements on Android 2.1. Sweet Shiva! I get excited every-time I see the phone in its all black over-all! And with a mighty 1 GHz what we are hoping is ARMv7 processor and a 4.3 inch screen; you cannot ask for more or in my case it keeps me leaving me for something more! The Phone is to be launched very soon.

Samsung Galaxy Beam

\"\"
I have been in love with this phone since the day I saw it on it\'s release. If the above two phones are awesome; Galaxy Beam has just raised the bar and right now sits alone in the category of legendary phones soon going to be available. Why legendary? For starters it also runs Android 2.1 with all the great features but this phone has the biggest battery I have seen with a stand-by of 22 days . 800 MHz processor with an internal memory of 16GB; don’t fancy it? Well, throw in the pico-projector which illuminates from 5 to 50 inches in a dark room.
This list will have to be updated periodically considering the speed of developments happening in Android hardware and software.
