Zeus - Videocon's first Android OS phone

Looks like the Android OS, being free is going to be the next feature phone OS of choice for tier 2 players in the mobile space. That also means that we're likely to be less excited when we hear of the next cheap Android phone (unless it's a dual SIM version). Most of them seem to be baking version 1.6 or 2.1 onto the phone, but Froyo remains the domain of super-phones and Google experience phones like the Huawei Ideos.
Videocon has entered the smartphone arena with an Android 2.1 Eclair phone called Zeus - it has a 3.2-inch screen, 600 Mhz Qualcomm processor, 5 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, and an internal memory of 512 MB. The Zeus Phone is priced at 12,900, which puts it in the same price range as the Samsung Galaxy 3 and the Xperia X8. Street prices should be close enough to the Spice Mi-300, which reportedly has less than average battery life.
