In today’s news, we have what could be the beginning of a merry ride around the Apple Product Cycle. You read it first here, unless you didn't. Digitimes analysts have revealed juicy rumours on what Apple’s extended iOS portfolio is going to look like, a year from now. The iPad is yet to officially arrive in India but you can expect a revision every year.

Most interesting play here being the mini iPad, with a 7-inch 1024x768 resolution screen (the same resolution as the existing 10-inch version), which we can hopefully expect to be $100 cheaper than the iPad. The second bit of info, about the new iPads getting a Cortex-A9 based processor may not reveal much, and probably won't even after launch. You need an electron microsocope and some serious geeks to figure that part out. The iPad runs on the A4 SoC based on the ARM Cortex A8 design, while the A9 is capable of multi-core architecture and speeds of up to 2GHz. The next upgrade is also expected to have twice the RAM. For more speculation, on the processor architecture, this post by Computerworld.
Also expected: an Apple TV unit based on AMD’s Fusion chip, and finally, a long awaited CDMA version of the iPhone should appear next year, with an improved antenna.
