2011 was the year that we saw plenty of action in all price brackets, from cheap Androids to 4-inch+ tablet hybrids. This year also saw plenty of exciting new entrants in the mid-range, with dual SIM and ruggged Android phones going for under 10 grand. In the superphone class, we've seen dual-core smartphones with qHD screens and 3D screens. From the first Nokia Windows smartphone to the highly anticipated iPhone 4S launch, here's a roundup of the most notable and memorable smartphones of 2011.
