The recently launched, second generation of Apple TV is a curious little device that has its fair share of fans and critics. The device’s much smaller footprint and a lower price-tag when compared to its predecessor has come at a cost. This device does not have storage options and the online library of videos supports only rental at this point. On the plus-side, the new Apple TV has the general characteristics that one expects from Apple products— an elegant design and a very simple setup process. The device connects to the TV via HDMI port and accesses the online store through a Wi-Fi network, which in most cases would be a home router. It can stream videos at a maximum resolution of 720p.
