Nintendo has announced significant cut in the price of its 3DS handheld console that has so far performed dismally compared to its predecessors. After spending the last few years, basking in the glory of number-one spot, the Japanese console manufacturer and game publisher seems to be going through some dark days. During this year’s Sony E3 press-event, Kazuo Hirai was at hand presenting the next generation of handheld gaming console that will henceforth be referred to as PlayStation Vita. Mr. Hirai was also thoughtful enough to explain why they picked a name that is reminiscent of vitality pills for men with failing libido. As it turns out, Vita means life and Sony’s new console has been designed to be another one of those devices whose sole purpose is to blur the lines between reality and entertainment. E3 2011: Sony NGP Games demoed, hands on + Augmented Reality game revealedLots of NGP (which could be named PS Vita) demo videos shown at E3 flaunting the power of the system. Uncharted of course was the pick of the lot, which was shown a few months back, except now it's got an official name Uncharted: Golden Abyss. The game is no slouch on the NGP, looking as good as its PS3 compadre. There was also the new Wipeout for the NGP which looked stunning.
