Dell shipping XPS and Vostro desktops with third-gen Intel processors
Having updated their Alienware M-x series of laptops with Z77 chipset and matching processors, Dell has now rolled out the desktop upgrades. Our choice for download of this week is a bit out of the ordinary as it is an iOS application built for and by those dissenters among Apple users, the jail-breakers. Something that started out as a tweak to the official keyboard gesture system of an iPad has now become something of a rage in the underground scene. A YouTube user called danielchasehooper posted his tweak to the swipe-gesture system of iPad, in the hoped of gathering a community around it to petition Apple.
App of the week: Flipboard for Android
Android, through its many beneficiaries, is slowly making in-roads into Apple’s pool of exclusive apps, giving users fewer reasons to not jump the ship. Following the likes of Instagram making an appearance on Android, it is Flipboard that is moving beyond its familiar iOS territory. Samsung release source code for Galaxy Tab 2 systems
Good news for tinkerers and power users: Samsung has released source code for Android working their Galaxy Tab 2, which includes Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. If you are one of the former, then head on to the Samsung website to download the source code and start hacking away. The source will work with GT-P3100, GT-P3110, GT-P3113 models of Galaxy Tab 2 7.0; and the GT-P5100, GT-P5110, and GT-P5113 models of Tab 2 10.1.Power users who want to do things like replace the Samsung TouchWiz UI with something else will have to wait until the Android community starts brewing something interesting.
Limited numbers of iPad 2 with 32nm fab spotted
When Apple released the third generation of iPad simply called just that, they also announced traditional price-cuts on the second generation tablets. As it turns out, a lower price-tag is apparently not the only change Apple introduced in iPad 2 line. As part of a comprehensive review of the new iPad 2, the brains at Anand Tech discovered that Apple has employed 32nm fabrication process for the A5 SoC, an improvement from 45nm.

Which phone deserves to be the flagship Android superphone of 2012? It's the match up of the year, pitting Tegra 3 against the Exynos Quad, Super AMOLED against Super IPS LCD2. Cooler Master's high-end CPU cooler
Cooler Master has unveiled a CPU cooler, which the company claims is a culmination of their best technologies, and it can rival liquid cooling system. Called TPC 812, this CPU cooler uses Cooler Master’s Vertical Vapour Chamber technology that uses vaporized coolants to expedite transfer of heat from the CPU block to the fins.
